Me and Myself..
I am a Bikolana from the Philippines, born in Sipocot, Camarines Sur, took my secondary eduction in Lupi also in Camarines Sur, got my Bachelor’s degree at Aquinas University in Legaspi City, Albay, shopped for a job in Manila and Batangas but found it in Virac, Catanduanes.
Obviously, I love adventure. I travelled a lot in my youth though short distances but different places. I always wanted to see new things and places and discover many times that there were no major differences in every place I’ve been to except that cities were noisy and life is fast-paced. I also loved to discover things and found fulfillment in finding answer to questions I never asked.
In my youth I wanted to be a criminal lawyer and work as a detective. I never achieved my ambition and never got to work in a field I loved. I finished a totally different course and landed a totally different job. I never wanted to have a permanent dwelling place. I only wanted to buy a truck with all my stuff in it, travel through it and earn from it. But all the things that I loved never came. I just contented myself with reading and meeting people, talking to them and pitting my ideas against theirs. In a way, I learned a lot from them.
Joining forums and reading blogs expanded my horizon. These were true experiences and stories that cannot be read from the books. The internet has paved the way for me to fulfill my dreams. I can now reach many places without traveling, can research and investigate without leaving my chair and talk to people without seeing them.
Yes, I’ve been stuck to this beautiful island province for 27 years now because the thing I was searching for was here. All the emptiness I accumulated from childhood which I unconsciously searched in my adventures were filled-up and so, I stopped searching and found life.
